About Uduak

My name is Uduak Jesuthasan and I am a maternal, neonatal and child health expert with over a decade’s experience implementing programmes in East, West and Southern Africa. I hold a Master of Public Health, Epidemiology from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Environmental Health from Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa.

I have experience in policy development related to adolescent sexual and reproductive health, data and knowledge management, and providing strategic advice to executive leadership on programme priorities and programme management.

My other areas of expertise include:

  • Prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission
  • Gender issues related to girls and young women, including teenage pregnancy, child marriage and female genital mutilation.
  • HIV treatment and care programmes

I was born in Nigeria and have lived in and travelled to more than ten countries on the African continent as well as countries in North America and Europe. My travel and exposure have made me into a culturally aware professional, and I am able to work in teams with tolerance and appreciation for uniqueness and diversity.
