Terms and Conditions for Becoming an Ela Member

 1. Introduction

Welcome to Ela! 

Ela is owned and operated by Osman Advisory Services (OAS), a sole proprietorship owned by Sarah Osman. OAS is registered in Norway. 

By becoming a member, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. 

Please read these terms carefully before signing up. 

2. Purpose of Ela Membership

The purpose of being a member of Ela is to grow and develop as a consultant. Ela provides resources, coaching, and a supportive community to help you advance in your consulting journey. However, it is important to note that membership in Ela is not a guarantee of securing clients or new business. The program is designed to support your growth, not to secure income. 

The Ela Advisors offer guidance based on their personal experience as consultants or coaches. They are not financial or legal experts, and their advice should not be taken as professional financial or legal counsel. Ela Advisors and the Ela platform are not responsible for any financial or legal outcomes resulting from the use of this guidance. Members are encouraged to seek advice from qualified professionals for financial or legal matters.The Ela advisors offer guidance based on their own experience as consultants or coace. The advisors are not financial or legal experts.

3. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals who are interested in advancing their skills as consultants and are willing to participate in one-on-one sessions, webinars, workshops, and peer support activities. 

Our program is open to persons who identify as women who have roots in the global majority, including those from African, Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Indigenous communities, as well as individuals of mixed-race backgrounds. We welcome participants who connect with these diverse heritages and wish to engage in a supportive, inclusive environment that values their unique experiences and perspectives. 

4. Age Requirement

A member must be over the age of 25.

6. Proof of Residence and ID 

Members may be required to share proof of residence and an ID, given that membership prices are tiered by place of residence. In case a member resides between a country in Africa, Asia, or Latin America and a country in Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand or the Middle East, they will be charged the price for Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand or the Middle East. 

This policy ensures the purpose of providing equitable access to Ela. 

7. Services Provided

Ela offers the following services: one-on-one sessions, peer support, learning 

webinars, topic-specific workshops, the Ela chatbot, which will eventually be built based on data from the cohorts. These services are designed to help you 

grow and succeed as a consultant. 

8. Member Obligations 

As an Ela member, you agree to: 

  • Participate actively in sessions, workshops, and webinars. 
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of other members. 
  • Use the progress tracking tools and chat responsibly. 
  • Refrain from sharing any proprietary content provided by Ela without permission. 

9. Payment Terms

Membership fees are paid per calendar month or per six-month period. Membership fees must be paid in full as per the plan selected. 

10. Refund Policy

Memberships can be cancelled at any time, but we encourage members to stay on the program for at least six months. Once a membership is cancelled, it will be enforced from the next calendar month. If a member pays for 6 months in advance, they will be refunded for the remaining months. 

11. Confidentiality

All information shared within Ela, including during one-on-one sessions and workshops, is confidential. Members must not disclose any confidential information to third parties. 

Recording of webinars and AI notetakers are strictly prohibited during all webinars. Webinar recordings will be available to members on the member YouTube channel. 

12. Code of Conduct

Ela is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. Discriminatory, abusive, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Ela reserves the right to terminate the membership of anyone who violates this code. 

13. Limitation of Liability

Ela will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services. Members use all services at their own risk. 

14. Termination

Ela reserves the right to terminate membership at any time if a member breaches these terms and conditions. 

15. Language of Communication 

The main language of communication is English. As we grow, we will be able to offer support in multiple languages. 

16. Amendments

Ela may update these terms and conditions periodically. Members will be notified of significant changes.
