Our Story
Ela was born out of lived experience. In 2014, our founder, Sarah Osman, started her consulting business with nothing but drive, deep expertise, and a belief that there had to be another way. Despite holding two master’s degrees, global experience, and a proven track record, the traditional job market kept closing its doors.
What opened instead was a path she carved herself.
Over the next decade, Sarah built a thriving global consultancy rooted in behavioral science, social impact, and strategy. Along the way, she navigated motherhood, global uncertainty, self-doubt, and systemic barriers. And she realized something important: too many brilliant women, especially from underrepresented regions, are figuring this out alone.
Ela is the space Sarah needed, but had to build.
Today, Ela is a mission-driven, one-of-a-kind program contributing to Sustainable Development Goals 5 (gender equality) and 8 (decent work and economic growth). We equip women with the tools, networks, and confidence to thrive as consultants and business owners.

Ela is owned and operated by Osman Advisory Services (OAS), a sole proprietorship owned by Sarah Osman. OAS is registered in Norway.
Ela is designed to support women, particularly those with roots in the global majority, in starting or growing their consultancy businesses. We provide coaching, webinars, resources, and a community to help women excel as consultants. By “women with roots in the global majority,” we mean those some of full heritage from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Indigenous communities, and women of color. Ela ensures that women from historically underrepresented backgrounds have the resources and community to thrive. To be eligible for membership, individuals must be at least 25 years old.
Ela offers three main membership tiers based on region:
- Africa, Asia, and Latin America (OECD DAC):
- Ela Lite: EUR 20
- Ela Pro: EUR 70
- Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. High incomes countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America:
- Ela Lite: EUR 40
- Ela Pro: EUR 130
- Ela Pro includes everything in Ela Lite, plus quarterly mindset coaching with Anne Wafula, suport in structuring your service offerings, guidance on streamlining business processes, and support for strategic client engagement. You also get 40% discount on additional services like Ela Studio.
The six-month journey includes milestones such as:
- Month 1-2: Initial assessment, goal setting, and skill mapping
- Month 3: Market insights and lead generation strategies
- Month 4: Developing resilience and presentation skills
- Month 5-6: Winning business consistently and optimizing strategies
- Month 6: Telling your story and advancing your communication voice, with a final focus on client retention and growth.
Members are encouraged to continue their membership to stay connected with their cohort and benefit from ongoing support and opportunities. This ensures long-term growth, networking, and continued access to advanced resources and workshops. You can choose to stay on at any of the membership tiers, even if you would like to downgrade your membership.
The Ela GROWTH Blueprint® is a comprehensive guide that helps consultants track their progress and achieve business success. It covers skill development, client engagement strategies, and personal growth, all integrated into a personalized dashboard for consistency and motivation.
Ela hosts:

Yes, non-members from all backgrounds can book ‘Pick My Brain‘ sessions with Sarah:
- A one-time coaching session for EUR 250

All webinars are recorded and available in our Private Community YouTube Channel, ensuring members can catch up anytime.
Members can engage in peer accountability groups, the community platform, and webinars featuring expert speakers. Cross-cohort events allow members to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and build professional relationships.

The Ela Chatbot is an AI tool designed to assist with brainstorming and tackling challenges at any time. It was launched in May 2025 and is accessible to members.
Yes, all coaching sessions are personalized based on your specific goals and challenges, whether you are a Beginner or an Established consultant.
- Community Platform: A place for connecting with other consultants, sharing advice, and supporting each other (via a WhatsApp community).
- Personal Dashboard: Customized around the GROWTH Blueprint®, this tool helps track progress, set goals, and organize your journey.
While there is no trial period, members can cancel anytime. Ela recommends staying on the program for at least six months for maximum benefit.
The main language of communication for the Ela programme is English. However, as Ela continues to grow, we plan to expand our offerings to include support in multiple languages, ensuring more women around the world can access and benefit from our resources and community.
